U.K.C. performs this service through its association with PE Zoogen, the nation's leading DNA-testing laboratory.

What does the U.K.C. DNA program offer the breeder?

U.K.C. was the first registry to offer DNA profiling for the purpose of identifying individual dogs and verifying parentage. This service is reasonably priced and the results appear on the dog's U.K.C. registration papers and pedigree. DNA profiling enables a breeder to identify the sire of each puppy in a litter even where the dam was bred to two sires, accidentally or intentionally. It also gives breeders a means to preserve the DNA of their breeding stock for future use in locating the source of genetic defects. No better tool exists to guarantee the integrity of a breeding program or a registry.

Our dogs are all DNA-Profiled, so our puppies will all be DNA-VIP eligible.
